You are half-way through your working life and it’s your last chance to lock in the right career path. The career you choose in your 40s needs to get you to your point of retirement. Are you in your last job? Could you do this for the next 20 years?

Reboot your career. Make your current job work for you, or take the leap and go for something new. This guide will show you how to rigorously test if your job really is the one for you, and show you how to change it or to make it better. The most successful entrepreneurs are in their mid-40s, and the most promotions to senior management happen to men in their 40s.

Chris is a naturally creative leader and entrepreneur

He has worked in the events industry for 25 years, holding senior, director and owner posts for large corporates and agencies. In recent years Chris has been voted amongst the top 5 in the C&IT Power 50, and Director of the Year by the IoD (Institute of Directors). He has an MBA in Communication Strategy, and is a Chartered Director.  Chris has sat on a number of Advisory and Association Boards, and was Chairman of the HBAA for 2 years. After 6 years as Managing Director at Zibrant, when the company recorded its highest event turnover and profits, and was recognized by the Sunday Times as one of the best companies to work for, he left to acquire Absolute Corporate Events (ACE) where he has been owner and Managing Director since 2013. Chris has always managed his businesses with a focus on massive and meaningful improvement, for the business itself and for all its employees, stakeholders and partners.

It is this thirst for change and improvement that led Chris to change everything in his life in his 40s. He left a dream job, with a high-performing company to buy a fledgling agency which had nothing to offer but potential. He closed the door on a negative and unfulfilling relationship and started a fitness and nutrition routine to get his body in better shape.

Since his acquisition of ACE, the company has grown 10-fold, in turnover and profits. He has a positive and happy relationship and at 48, is in his best shape ever. He has also made time to write and produce this self-help guide, aimed at helping other men in their 40s wake up to the power of change, before it’s too late.
